I’m going to assume that most people reading this article are either involved with a network marketing company, or are looking to join one. If you already have found that one company that really fits you–congratulations! But, if you are like most MLM distributors, you are struggling. Perhaps you are unhappy with your current company or you still haven’t found your niche yet. Either way, let me share with you some things you need to look at in order to pick the best home-based business opportunity.
1. Avoid the scam! You absolutely DO NOT want to be involved with a company that is a scam. A company is not the real deal if they do not have a legitimate product or service and/or if the only person making any money is the one person at the top of the company. THESE ARE ILLEGAL! Don’t get involved!
2. Believe in the product/service. Don’t join a company where you think the product or service is a joke. People will support you, buy your products or services and join your opportunity if they see that you truly believe in what you’re doing. Your sincerity will shine through and you will be able to be sincere with the right company.
3. Education and training. It’s very important that the company you choose has a lot of education materials and training available. You’re going to need to learn about the products or services you are marketing. You are also going to need to understand the opportunity so that you can share it with others. Make sure that their training tools are easy to use and readily available.
4. Support. When choosing a company, be certain that the support is there. You are going to need a solid upline that you can call upon for questions and support. You want a company that worlks closely with its distributors and encourages their success. They should be available to you if you have concerns or when you just need some positive encouragement.
5. A System. Make sure to look for the company that has a system in place to help you succeed. The system has to be easy to understand and duplicatible. The pitfall with most systems out there is that they only teach you one way to recruit and/or sell in the industry. A large portion of the time, they promote a warm market, face-to-face system, forcing you to talk to all of your friends
and family, whether they want to hear about your opportunity or not. This can be both challenging and frustrating.
