Social media marketing, is it worth the time? If you’re like me, you’re on them all the time. Be truthful here, you are on them all the time. Well, if you’re not, I spend enough time on them for the both of us. What exactly is it we accomplish on them? We browse around, be nosy, look at people’s photo albums, and worst of all some people play Farmville. And, while playing Farmville or Mafia wars( whatever that is), we just know that there is some real business to be done. With the millions of people on these sites, there must be some way to profit from the connections we make. So what must we do?!
To start with let’s talk about which sites we should be focusing our web 2.0 marketing on. This may come as no surprise but if you do any amount of research online you will find that the biggest social media sites on the net right now our Facebook and Twitter. MySpace used to be the giant, What is lost ground to the newcomers. Now, tell me you have not seen the exorbitant number of ads on each of these sites. Naturally then, it’s not too shocking that these behemoths make hundreds of millions of dollars every year in ad revenue. That’s right, Facebook marketing, Twitter marketing, MySpace marketing, and Linkedin marketing have become a huge focal point for pretty much any company in any industry. So, in the following paragraphs, we will place our emphasis on the big four, and what we can do to market on them for free. Whoops I failed to mention YouTube, Which looks like it may end up being the biggest yet.
Well, oddly enough, it requires the same activities that we are already participating in. No Rocket Science here people! Really! We’ve almost got it, we’re so close to the Thousands of Free Leads and Many , Many More Reps on our teams. We just need to tweak the way we do these activities.
So, what do we need to change?! First off we need to talk less about or company/products. Shocking, isn’t it?! Because that’s exactly what we were told to do by our upline and our company. Well, at some point we will talk about those things, but in my experience it should not be right away. For me, this approach did not produce results. At least not to the point of financial freedom, which is where we all want to be, RIGHT?! Instead we need to be talking more about ourselves and what We Have To Offer! We need to show people that we are the Leaders that they want to (and should) partner with for Success.
Secondly, what can we do to show these folks that we have Value? There are a few, very simple things that I have found to do just that: 1. Have a Simple System that people can utilize to achieve their goals., 2. Be there for your connections and let them know that you care about their success, No Matter What Company They Are With! 3. Share Your Value Freely! Let people tap into your knowledge without expecting something in return.
In my view, the final thing in s the most important. Let’s go back to an old adage. “YOU MUST GIVE TO RECEIVE.” Now, how true is that statement! If you want to make money, you must be willing to spend it. If you want to be loved, you must be willing to love. You must treat others as you want to be treated. It’s the universal law of reciprocity and when that one amazing principle is applied in business, the results will Amaze you! Once you start to OBEY THIS LAW your Business and Life will never be the same!
I now freely give my knowledge of this industry and the techniques that I have learned freely EVERY DAY and sometimes many times a day. Because of this, EVERY DAY I also RECEIVE!
